MPower vs InkSoft

InkSoft sells merch stores to decorators.
MPower runs the whole distributorship.

InkSoft is an online store and web-to-print platform built for apparel decorators and print shops, now part of Taivo alongside OrderMyGear and Printavo. MPower is one system for promotional products distributors: CRM, presentations, orders, supplier POs over PromoStandards, unlimited stores and accounting. Here is the side-by-side.

Why distributors move to MPower

More than a storefront.

Sell before the store exists

CRM, opportunities, presentations and quotes live in the same system as your stores. InkSoft covers quotes and art approvals; MPower adds the sales pipeline around them.

Hard goods, not just blanks

725,000+ promotional products synced over PromoStandards, with purchase orders sent electronically to connected suppliers. InkSoft's catalogs center on apparel blanks such as SanMar and S&S.

The books close in the same place

QuickBooks sync, reconciliation, billing and commissions sit next to the orders that created them, instead of an export at the end.

Side by side

MPower vs InkSoft, feature by feature.

Both run branded online stores. The difference is how much of the business sits around them.

What it actually costs

If stores are all you need, InkSoft costs less.

InkSoft charges one flat monthly fee with no percentage of store sales. MPower charges a subscription plus a small fee on web-store orders. Here is the yearly platform cost on published prices, so you can see the gap and decide whether the rest of MPower is worth it to you.

Web-store sales per yearMPower All-in-OneMPower ProInkSoft Unlimited
$0

$5,750$11,510$5,028
$100,000$7,650$13,010$5,028
$250,000$10,500$15,260$5,028
$1,000,000$24,750$26,510$5,028
When InkSoft is the better fit. If you are a decorator whose business is apparel stores, and you want end buyers to design their own shirts from a library of 4,000 templates and vector clip art, InkSoft does that out of the box, for a flat monthly fee that does not grow with your store sales. MPower's storefront designer lets buyers add text and upload artwork, but it has no template library. If your CRM, supplier POs and accounting already live elsewhere and you are happy with them, InkSoft is the cheaper storefront.

Where MPower wins

  • One system, not a stack. CRM, presentations, orders, stores and accounting share one database.
  • Promotional products, not just apparel. 725,000+ products over PromoStandards.
  • Electronic supplier POs sent over PromoStandards to connected suppliers.
  • Unlimited stores on All-in-One and Pro, with allowances, approvals, SSO and start and end dates.
  • 0% on orders your team enters in the app; the fee applies to web-store orders only.
  • SOC 2 Type 2, independently audited by Sensiba LLP.

How these are built. MPower All-in-One at $479.20/mo billed annually ($5,750/yr, up to 10 users) plus 1.9% of web-store orders, minimum $1 per order; All-in-One Pro at $959.20/mo billed annually ($11,510/yr, unlimited users) plus 1.5%, minimum $0.25 per order. InkSoft Unlimited at $419/mo ($5,028/yr, unlimited users and stores) from inksoft.com/pricing-options; InkSoft Standard is $314/mo with 100 active stores and 5 users. Card processing is not included for either platform, and InkSoft's API costs extra on top of Unlimited.

FAQ

Switching from InkSoft, answered.

How much does InkSoft cost?
InkSoft publishes two plans: Standard at $314 a month with 100 active stores and 5 users, and Unlimited at $419 a month with unlimited stores and users. Both are a flat monthly fee with no contract. API access requires Unlimited and an additional monthly fee.
Is MPower cheaper than InkSoft?
Not for storefronts alone. InkSoft Unlimited is $5,028 a year at any store volume; MPower All-in-One starts at $5,750 a year plus 1.9% of web-store orders. MPower makes sense when it replaces the other systems you pay for too: CRM, order management, supplier POs and accounting.
Who owns InkSoft now?
InkSoft's parent Inktavo merged with OrderMyGear in October 2025, and in September 2026 the combined company renamed itself Taivo. InkSoft continues as one of eight Taivo brands, alongside OrderMyGear, Printavo, GraphicsFlow, DistributorCentral and others.
Can my customers design products on an MPower store?
Yes. MPower's storefront designer lets buyers add text and upload their own artwork onto a product, and signed-in buyers can reuse saved artwork. It does not include a library of ready-made design templates or clip art, which InkSoft does.
Does MPower connect to suppliers over PromoStandards?
Yes. MPower syncs over 725,000 products by PromoStandards with scheduled pricing and inventory updates, and sends purchase orders over PromoStandards to connected suppliers.
What comes across when I move?
Customer and contact records, order history and artwork files come across. Product data is rebuilt live from PromoStandards rather than copied, so it arrives current. Store designs are rebuilt with the MPower store builder and templates.
