Run every store programme on one flat fee.

Unlimited stores

No per-store licence and no $119 to $199 monthly hosting for each company store. The tenth store costs the same as the first.

1.9% instead of 3.95%

MPower charges 1.9% on web-store orders, 1.5% on Pro. OrderMyGear takes 3.95% of every pop-up cart before card processing.

One system, one login

Stores, orders, CRM, presentations and accounting in a single application, rather than separate OrderMyGear portals for stores and orders.

What it actually costs

Every company store on OrderMyGear costs $1,428 a year. Every pop-up cart costs 3.95%.

The figures below are the ongoing yearly cost, with OrderMyGear's one-time licences left out and its CashBack rebate applied. That is the most favourable case for OrderMyGear, so these savings are a floor.

When OrderMyGear is the cheaper buy. A handful of company stores, or a small pop-up-only programme, costs less on OrderMyGear. The break-even sits at roughly five company stores at $150K of sales, or about $190K a year of pop-up-only sales. If you run your orders in another system and skip OrderMyGear's order management, the pop-up-only break-even moves to roughly $350K. Above those lines, MPower costs less.

Where MPower wins

  • Store count is free. No per-store licence and no per-store monthly hosting.
  • Half the fee on pop-up sales. 1.9% on MPower against 3.95% on OrderMyGear, before CashBack.
  • No order caps. OrderMyGear's company store hosting includes 50 orders a month per store.
  • Order management included, not a separate $79-per-user product.
  • Build your own stores. No $799 to $1,199 per-store build packages.
  • SOC 2 Type 2, independently audited by Sensiba LLP.

How these are built. MPower All-in-One at $479.20/mo billed annually ($5,750/yr), unlimited stores with order management and CRM included, plus 1.9% on all web-store orders. OrderMyGear at $119/mo Standard hosting per company store, 3.95% on pop-up cart totals less its CashBack rebate (10% above $250K, 20% above $500K, 30% above $1M of pop-up sales), plus Presentations and Order Management at $79 per user per month with a two-user minimum. OrderMyGear's one-time licences ($2,999 for OMG Unlimited) and any order overage charges are not included, so its first year costs more than shown. Card processing applies on both and is excluded from both.

FAQ

Switching from OrderMyGear, answered.

Is MPower cheaper than OrderMyGear?
It depends on how many stores you run and how much flows through pop-ups. OrderMyGear charges per company store and 3.95% on pop-up carts; MPower is one flat fee for unlimited stores plus 1.9% on web-store orders. Past roughly five company stores, or about $190K a year of pop-up sales, MPower costs less, and the gap widens as you grow. The cost table above shows where the line sits.
Does MPower run pop-up stores?
Yes. Any store can be given a start date and an end date that control exactly when it accepts orders, so spirit-wear, event and fundraiser stores open and close on schedule.
Do I have to buy order management separately?
No. Orders, CRM, presentations, follow-ups, purchase orders and accounting are part of every MPower All-in-One and Pro plan, in the same application as your stores.
Does MPower calculate sales tax?
Yes. Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout from the customer's ship-to address, so multi-state store programmes charge the right rate.
What comes across when I move?
Customer and contact records, order history and artwork files come across. Product data is rebuilt live from PromoStandards rather than copied, so it arrives current. Store designs do not transfer between platforms and are rebuilt with the MPower store builder and templates. Most distributors launch new stores on MPower first and move existing ones as programmes come up for renewal.
